How do I get to The Colonnade?
The Colonnade is located off I-75. Turn on Exit 350; go West onto Battlefield Parkway toward Ft. Oglethorpe. Turn right at traffic light onto Old Mill Road (at CVS Pharmacy and large electronic sign labeled Benton Place) and go approximately ¼ mile. Turn right into Benton Place Campus. The Colonnade is the last and largest of the buildings on the campus.
What is The Colonnade?
The Colonnade is a unique facility offering a variety of options since it contains multiple event rooms, a kitchen, and a 536-seat theater. It is the perfect venue for events such as weddings, receptions, corporate meetings, and social gatherings as well as performing arts and community theater events. It is a one-level, handicap-friendly facility with free parking, conveniently located off I-75 and minutes from Chattanooga, TN.
How do I reserve an event room?
You can call our Event Coordinator at 706-935-9000. The Event Coordinator will help you determine which room will better suit your needs.
Are discounts available to Catoosa County residents?
Yes. Catoosa County residents receive a discounted rate for event rooms.
If I have a small event, do you have any small rooms to rent?
There are rooms in a variety of shapes and sizes to suit your needs at The Colonnade.
If I reserve a room, will I be responsible for setting up tables and chairs?
No. You will discuss the layout you prefer for your event with the Event Coordinator. The Colonnade staff will complete the setup and disassembly according to your wishes.
Will I be allowed to prepare my own food for my event?
The Colonnade has a list of approved caterers. These caterers have met all requirements (such as adequate liability insurance) necessary to use the kitchen at The Colonnade. If you have a caterer that you would like to use that is not on our approved list, that caterer must contact The Colonnade and receive a list of requirements. Once those requirements are met, and if approved, you may use that caterer.
Is alcohol allowed for my event?
If your caterer has an approved Liquor License and Liquor Liability Insurance and is on our Approved Caterer List, that caterer may provide alcohol at your event. If alcohol will be served at your event, security will be required (which the Event Coordinator will arrange) for a minimum of four hours.
How do I reserve the theater?
Contact our Theater Coordinator at 706-935-9000. The Theater Coordinator will be able to answer your questions.
Do you have live performances at The Colonnade?
Yes. We currently have several theater troupes who hold performances regularly at The Colonnade.
How can I be in one of the productions at The Colonnade?
Auditions are held for all theater events. Check our event calendar for those audition dates, or call the Theater Coordinator at 706-935-9000, ext. 108.
Does The Colonnade staff put on the plays at The Colonnade?
No. All performances are carried out by theater troupes who use The Colonnade as their venue.
How do I know what is playing in the theater at The Colonnade?
Theater events are posted on our website: www.colonnadecenter.org, in our newsletter, and on our Box Office recording (706-935-9000, ext. 100).
How can I purchase tickets to performances at The Colonnade?
Tickets may be purchased online through our website (www.colonnadecenter.org), through www.tix.com, by calling The Colonnade Box Office (706-935-9000, ext. 100), or by stopping by the Box Office Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00. Tickets can also be purchased the day of the performance.
Do I need to purchase tickets prior to performances?
You can purchase tickets prior to the performance date, or you may purchase tickets the day of the performance. The Box Office opens one hour prior to a performance; the theater opens 30 minutes prior to a performance.
Can I purchase tickets with a credit card?
Yes, tickets may be purchased with cash, check, or credit card.
What are the Box Office hours?
The Box Office is manned from 8:30-5:00 Monday through Friday. It is also open an hour prior to show time. However, you can call the Box Office at any time (24 hours a day) and leave a message with your name and phone number; your call will be returned.
If I order tickets by phone or online, how can I get them?
Tickets will be held at the Box Office in your name. They can be picked up during regular business hours (8:30-5:00 Monday through Friday) or prior to the performance.
What are the ticket prices for your performances?
Ticket prices vary with the performances. As a general rule, musicals are $15 general admission, $12 for seniors and students, and $11 for groups of 15 or more (when all tickets are purchased by one person at one time). Non-musicals are usually $11 for general admission, $9 for seniors and students, and $8 for groups of 15 or more (when all tickets are purchased by one person at one time). Occasionally prices will deviate from those stated above.
Is there reserved seating for performances at The Colonnade?
Most of the performances do not have reserved seating. Seating is first come; first served. The building and Box Office opens 1 hour prior to performances. Theater doors open 30 minutes prior to performances.
What do volunteers do at The Colonnade?
Volunteers play an important part at The Colonnade. They man the Box Office, distribute programs, and sell concessions at performances. Volunteers also help out in our office as needed. Our Volunteer Organization purchases candy and snacks to sell during Intermissions. All money generated from those sales is used to enhance The Colonnade. Volunteers have purchased numerous items for The Colonnade including the digital hall monitor which welcomes and directs visitors to the appropriate location, benches lining the halls, outdoor benches, display cabinet, flowers, and a table at the entrance to The Colonnade.
How can I become a volunteer at The Colonnade?
Call the office at 706-935-9000, and your name will be passed on to the Volunteer Coordinators.
Do you mail information regarding events and performances at The Colonnade?
Typically The Colonnade does not mail information. However, we do maintain an email list. If you are on our email list, you will receive our monthly newsletter with news, information, and a calendar of events. Our monthly newsletter can also be downloaded from our website www.colonnadecenter.org. It is also printed and can be picked up at The Colonnade.
